About CHARG

At each of our bi-monthly forums, the Clark County Community Health Access Resource Group (CHARG) strives to illuminate and educate participants on a handful of themed topics relating to health access. This is typically done through hosting three to five panel speakers to summarize their areas of expertise; how they relate to Clark County residents; what resources they have available; and what challenges they face.

In addition to these presentations, CHARG encourages discussion and networking among attendees. Some of the best value of our meetings is when a new connection is made that leads to a partnership or effort that serves the community. It is our hope to create other avenues of connection and education as well, through this website and social media outlets.

To maximize the benefit of our connections, resources and meetings, we will share individual events or resources on the Announcements page, via our Facebook and Twitter accounts, and in a periodic summary newsletter shared to our mailing list. The intent behind this is so that information extends beyond whoever is present at the meetings, and can be found on this site at a later date if a person is actively looking for something.

Vision and Goals

The primary goals of CHARG are:
  • to enable participants to better address health access and equity issues in Clark County;
  • to identify and promote efficient ways for sharing health care information and resources; and
  • to provide a forum for community members and health professionals to connect and collaborate in order to deliver appropriate services that meet the needs of the diverse populations of Clark County

CHARG Strategies include:
  • Delivering health access information to community members and partners as is available;
  • Fostering introductions, individually or organizationally, as appropriate;
  • Maintaining publicly available records of resources and challenges identified through CHARG activities
